Heritage Foods develops, manufactures, and distributes dog food products nationwide. We combine intensive market research with world-class industrial design and engineering to create innovative products that address identified needs in the dog food product market. We have positioned ourselves to address this market need with an innovative, patented product and a management brand with extensive product design and marketing experience.

Started as a modest indigenous company in January 2009, Heritage Foods Kenya Limited can now boast a network of distributors all over the country thanks to our high service quality and efficient delivery. HFKL is considered to be the leading supplier of quality dog food in Kenya and Neighboring countries.

OUR BUSINESS

HFKL core business is manufacturing of dog food with our main brands being;

  • I. Topdog Regular
  • II. Top dog Rice
  • III. Krunshi economy
  • IV. Krunshi plus

The Topdog brand is uncooked while the Krunshi brand is pre-cooked and is ready for serving. The brands are aflatoxin tested and highly recommended by veterinarians as they contain all the minerals and supplements required for healthy, happy dogs.

We strive to provide our customers with products and services which meet and even exceed their expectations. We are committed to continuous improvement and have established a Quality Management System which provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance.

Our products comply with the KEBS requirement of Kenya Standard Specification for dog feeds (second edition). We are holders of Standardization Mark No. 924 .

OUR CLIENT BASE

Top dog brand has been in the market for the last 25 years while Krunshi Economy and Krunshi Plus has been in the market for 11 years. The two brands are the market leaders and have a market share of 75 ā€“ 80% of the dog food market in Kenya. We are also venturing in Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda through Nakumatt Supermarket Limited, Naivas, Tuskys and Uchumi. Our products reach our customers through a network of the leading supermarkets, distributors and individuals within and outside the country who are stationed in all the regions.
